Eyestrain, dryness, itchiness, burning, red eyes or blurred vision are common symptoms of dry eye syndrome. Healthy human blinks 10 to 15 times per minute. In front of the computer screen 70% of users, blink up to 60% less. One of the main reason for our low blink rate in front of the computer screen is the excessive screen brightness. Eyeblink measures your blink rate using webcam approximately every half hour for 3 minutes. It is sufficient because of blink rate changes slowly. In a case of low blink rate, Eyeblink trains you to blink more using an interactive reminder, which rolls out of the upper right corner of the screen and goes away after you blink. The best thing is, that the reminder does not have to even show up. Eyeblink first observes user for few seconds and only in case of low blink rate the reminder appear. Eyeblink observes the room light every 2 minutes and adjusts the screen brightness to make your eyes comfortable.
